  1. What paints did you use for this affect?

    • Hello Gina,

I used Benjiman Moore Paints for the cooper and Bronze effect. I always start with a deep red base coat of acrylic paint with at least a eggshell sheen. It is worth the extra money to buy there paint that is a one coat product because red is difficult to cover. Than I used Benjiman Moore cooper and bronze metalic acrylic glaze. I like the red base because it you look at real cooper you can see a deep red in it. So when applying the glaze the effect will vary depending on which one you apply first because you tend to always use more of the first glaze. So if you use the bronze first then add some copper and blend them together it will come out more of a bronze effect.

      Good Luck,

      Tracy
